Crisp Whiteness: Winter Landscapes with Watercolours
Using watercolour paints and masking fluids, as well as some white acrylic paints, students are invited to paint the glorious “True North” winter scenes. Glistening light on top of the snowbanks, fields blanketed with white, and hoar-frosted tree branches will be objects for our inspiration.
Local scenes of our beloved local, truly iconic landmarks, such as Glebe neighborhoods, Dow’s Lake, or Centertown side-streets and nooks will be the resource for our art practice.

Didn’t You Forget Your Mittens?
Watercolour and colour pencils, wax crayons, and oil pastel could be handy while you are trying to render variety of textures. Rough or smooth, suede- or leather-made mitts or gloves, or fluffy, knitted mittens, powdered by the ice and snowflakes are the first steps on your way in exploring hyper-realism in water-based media art.
